Anne of Avonlea

The second production of the Light Theater was Anne of Avonlea.  The sequel to Anne of Green Gables by L. M. Montgomery. The story follows Anne Shirley as she makes mistakes, mends relationships, meets new friends, and learns that there will always be bends in the road.  The Light Theater enjoyed bringing this production to life with it's variety of different characters, including the hard headed Mr. Harrison, the uptight Mrs. Donnell, the judgmental Mrs. Lynde and many energetic school children. The cast also spent countless hours painting sets, sewing costumes, and of course dancing.

“A bend in the road. I suppose you are right. And I have always has a sentimental fondness for bends in the road. You never know what sparkling lake, or blooming tree, or majestic vista is around the bend” - Anne
