Question: Do I have to wear a costume?

Answer: You do not have to wear a costume, but you are welcome to. Please do dress nicely though. Whether you wear a costume or not, please wear comfortable shoes that you can dance in. Rubber soled shoes, like tennis shoes are designed to grip the floor, so you want to wear something like a Sunday, dress shoe with a smooth sole that will glide across the dance floor.

Question: Could you explain the costumes?

Answer: Since we will be Stepping through Time, feel free to dress for any era. Regency, Victorian, Ragtime, Jazz Age, Vintage, Modern, earlier or later are all great choices. Most time periods have engaged in social dance, so pick your favorite. Several Light Theater actors and actresses will be costumed, so you won’t be the only one. Just keep in mind that you want to be able to move freely, and we hear that a twirly skirt is a plus.
